Can - pour is mostly black, with a wispy tan lace - nose is whiskey, cocoa, tamarind, oak - flavor is sweet and mildly abrasive/boozy - sugary Cuban coffee, whiskey, oak, vanilla - very warming finish - some vanilla, cream, and brighter fruitiness on the tail end - lingering oak and whiskey - a little astringent, but less so as it warms.

Can shared by The B’s at the November P.S. tasting, 11/11/24. Black, thin tan head, average retention. Aroma of roast, coffee, cherry, whiskey. Taste is chocolate, coffee, cocoa, vanilla, whisky. Moderate booze.

12 oz can from Half Time, 12/16/24. Pours a dark brown color with a fairly small light brown head. Sweet vanilla, coconut, chocolate, and bourbon. Drinks strong and boozy, but not overly so. This is a big beer, and the 12 oz can is great packaging because that is about the maximum I'd want in one sitting. Really enjoyable and well-made overall. Damn good. 8/4/9/4/18

Can 355ml @ Sommerhuset. Pours black with a few tan bubbles. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, chocolate, coconut, vanilla, oak, brown sugar, caramel, tobacco, alcohol, coffee and leather. Taste is heavy sweet and light bitter with a long warm, chocolate, oak, vanilla, coconut, brown sugar, coffee and leather finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is flat.

19.2 ounce can from Tavour. Opaque black pour. Small tan head settles to a scant ring. Sweet roasted malt aroma hints at oak and bourbon. First sip brings notes of warming alcohol, sweet roasted malt, bourbon and oak. Added notes of chocolate, vanilla and roasted marshmallows. Smooth mouthfeel. Long, bittersweet chocolate finish.
