Our Belgian-style Farmhouse Saison has an enticing bouquet, a nice fruity character with notes of spice and grated citrus rind, and a spicy, dry finish.

Orange-tan, tulip glass. Dry lemon pepper aroma. Dry and sweet, with some underlying funkiness. Captures the style well, maybe leaning a little to the sweet side. Some twisted melon notes. A nice Saison, but not as nice as I remembered it being the first time. Quite peppery, yet sugary. OK.

Enjoyed on tap at Revolution Brewery in Chicago, IL while eating dinner with some jabronies who I happen to be in a band with. Rated while watching Teen Wolf. Appearance a vibrant bright gold with thin white head that rims around the glass. Aroma of spices, coriander, wild yeast, very floral, stings the nostrils. Taste very floral and spicy, but smooth at the same time with decent carbonation. Wild yeast and spices are the prevalent ingredients, kind of sour in the finish. Really is pretty good.

Sample at the brewpub. This beer pours a cloudy yellow-gold color with a medium thin white head that recedes quickly. Spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma of mildly spiced hops and fruit. Light body with flavors of hops, bready malt, sweet fruit and yeast. The finish is sweet spices and fruit with a yeast aftertaste. Decent Saison overall.

Pour is a murky tan with a large white head. Aroma is very fruity with some yeast and hops. Flavor starts out with very spicy hops and follows with a bit of lemon grass. Finish is a bit dry and thin. The beer is decent and has plenty to offer just nothing over the top.
