Bottle (Verbindlichsten Dank, Herr Professor!): Deep golden to copper coloured, hazy, medium-sized creamy white head, that slowly collapses, moderate bitter-sweet bready-malty nose, a bit buttery, with a distinctive peppery-hoppy background; moderate to solid bitter-sweet flavour, medium bodied, quite soft; lingering spicy-hoppy (Saaz?) and bready-malty finish. Yes, yes, pretty good...

And the third beer of the night from Erzengel. Thanks a lot! 0,33 l bottle. Zip off cap. Meh. Cloudy dark golden with a nearly two finger foamy white head. Nice floral hoppy on the nose. Taste is pale grainy malty, floral hop, some bitterness, sweet with pine in the background. A lot of bitterness for a Zwickel. Nice one.

Farblich zeigt sich ein leicht trübes sattes bernstein. Feine Kohlensäure steigt auf und nährt eine leicht gelbliche, mittel- bis feinporige Schaumkrone, die sich sehr stabil und sehr gut haltbar zeigt. Herrlicher Duft von Hollunder, Muskattraube und Maracuja. Der Antrunk kommt sehr frisch, angenehm spritzig und wunderbar fruchtig. Im Mittelteil fügen sich die Aromen unglaublich gut zusammen. Angenehm karamellige bis leicht röstige Malzaromen. Dazu die fruchtig-aromatischen Hopfenaromen, die Hollunder, Muskat und Orange wiedergeben. Ein absolut tolles Mundgefühl wird hier geboten. Die angenehme Vollmundigkeit und die angenehmen Aromen führen zu einer sehr guten Süffigkeit. Einfach lecker! Im Abgang halten diese tollen Aromen lange an und erst nach einer guten Weile kommen die etwas herberen Hopfennoten durch, die für ein wirklich tolles Gesamtbild sorgen.

330ml bottle. Slightly cloudy, orangey, dark golden to amber colour with small to average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Husky, mellow, spicy malty, minimally fruity and grassy hoppy aroma, hints of red berries and yellow stone fruit, a bready touch. Taste is mellow malty, minimally husky, bready and spicy, moderately bitter, grassy and fruity hoppy, hints of red berries and yellow stone fruit, some protein; rather bitter, mineral, medicamentous finish. Watery, minimally creamy texture, smooth and soft palate, prickly carbonation. Relatively rich and manifold, but imperial? - Rather not. quite nice overall.

Bottle picked up at Spar supermarket in Söll and consumed at Campingplätz Franzlhof, Söll, Austria, Saturday 22nd February 2020 listening to Gilles Peterson on 6Mudic and having Lamb Meatballs with Sour Cherries for Tea. Pours gold, a little hazy, a proud white head sits atop. Fruitier than expected, soft mouthfeel, simple but pleasant, quite good.

Slightly hazy golden colour, white head. Fruity aroma, pear, ripe apple, malts. Light sweet malty flavour, light hips. Malty finish, pear. Rather decent, actually.
