650 ml bottle courtesy of Marsiblursi. Pours hazy goldenish red with a rather small creamy white head that leaves some nice looking lacing while dissipating. Smell is slightly sweet with grapefruit, lemon zest, soup stock, grass, resin, pine and hints of cat piss. Taste is slightly sweet, bitter and tiny metallic with pine, white bread, grapefruit juice, lemon zest, freshly cut grass, alcohol, lime juice, unripe pineapple and hints of crackers and lemon juice. Mouthfeel is tiny oily bitter, tiny boozy and medium bodied. Finish is tiny sweet and bitter with grass, pine, crackers and lemon zest.

Location: 22 oz bottle from Whole Foods-Columbus Circle, 3/19/12

Aroma: The nose is fairly dry, with some orange/grapefruit notes, and a little caramel
Appearance: Pours an unclear bright orange color with a small white head and mid-heavy lacing
Flavor: The taste is fairly bitter, with a light sweetness from the citrus fruits and the caramel malts
Palate: The body is medium, it has a soft carbonation, a long, dry finish, and the alcohol is well hidden
Overall Impression: This one is my 200th IPA rating, by far my most of any one style. Anyway, as for the beer, this is a well-made, fairly straight forward IPA. There isn't a huge resiny citrus bouquet or anything, but the flavor is pretty solid, and the hop bitterness is rather good as well. This one is nicely done.

Sampled from a 22 oz brown bottle this beer poured a dark caramel-orange color with an enormous fluffy orange-white head that lingered forever and left incredible lacing. The aroma was sweet and tangy pine, grapefruit, resin, lemon and caramel. The flavor was very bitter tangy caramel with notes of nut, bread, pine, resin, grapefruit and a hot/spicy hop note underneath. The finish was long and bitter with lingering grapefruit and pine. Medium body. Solid.
