Bottle from the Brewery, drunk at home, 22nd December 13. Apparently aged in an 80 year old barrel. This pours a great clear beer, aroma is acidic, wine and hops with some Brett. Flavour is delicious, some sour grapefruit, astringent in places, slight sweetness, some caramel. Lovely

Bottle at Siren event, The Grapes, Oxford, 18th December 2013 I must check the bottle again but I thought this was 5.1% (I could be wrong) we had a couple of bottles of this and Ian also shared a glass between 4-5 of us. We all really enjoyed it. Refreshing from the off the brett clearly noticeable the wine barrel ageing in this instance has done a good job. Hops also get a look in, it is zippy, zesty and tart, a little horseblanket on nose but not overly bretty. I never described the colour but I am sure it was light amber with pretty good clarity. This was a damn good beer in fact I recall all of our group really liking this one, picked up another bottle to take home. A7 A4 T8 P4 Ov16 3.9
