Bottle shared during RBWG 2014 - Asheville. Cheers! Pours oily black-brown with a tan foam head. The aroma holds milk chocolate, light coffee. Rich flavor, moderately sweet, with nice chocolate and creamy coffee character. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet finish, with light warmth, continuing hearty cocoa, milky coffee, mellow earthy bitterness. Solid.

Brow bomber, bottled on June 30, 2015 at Rustico Ballston. Black with very small beige head. Aroma is roasty & Bourbon, thick body, creamy texture, medium carbonation, and very little lacing. Taste is roasty, bourbon, dark chocolate, some vanilla, and dry finish. This good, but really heavy.

Quite a lot of coffee here and subtly done barrel - the way barrel should be done. Aromas come together well, but this doesn’t quite taste as big as an imperial stout should be. A regular stout or foreign stout at the most. Lacks complexity. Pours dark brown/black with good head and lacing. Medium bitter finish. Tap at Churchkey.

Bottle, 22oz. It pours a clear-looking black body with a small beige head. The aroma has lots of lovely coffee, with some molasses and soy sauce. One dimensional, and that goes for the flavor too. Lots of lovely coffee, with some soy sauce and molasses. Some chocolatey hints, and a nice bitterness. There’s alcohol warmth too, it’s full-bodied and pleasantly carbonated. Lasting finish with coffee dominating. Quite lovely this one, although one-dimensional. But as long as the coffee’s really nice, it’s sure a beer worth drinking. 140830
