Bottle, Leclerc store. Quite hazy amber, medium small white head, foamy and not too lasting. Mild fruity nose, peach with slight citrusy note, slight herbs. Medium bitter start, mild sweetness, fruity. Mild peppery aftertaste, ok lasting. Light body. Decent.

Bottle, 0.33l. Aroma of cereals, citrus, herbs and honey. Pours hazy amber color with thin creamy off-white head, yeast particles floating and soft visible carbonation. Taste starts juicy fruity, citrusy and floral, following is bready and honeyish, mouthfeel is smooth, while finish is average bitter. Medium body, creamy texture and average carbonation in palate. Quite ok…

33cl bottle. Pours dark gold, with fine white foam. Aroma is toffee, earthy. Body and carbonation are average. Taste is medium bitter. Final is average.

330ml bottle. Cloudy, amber colour with average to huge, frothy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Earthy, leafy and slightly citrusy fruity, minimally herbal, hoppy aroma, pale and caramel malty background, hints of lemon, lemon tea, some orange, a touch of lemon balm. Taste is sweet-ish, minimally sugary, caramel and pale malty, slightly leafy, citrusy fruity hoppy, notes of lemon, lemon tea, instant lemon tea, hints of orange, a touch of lemon balm, light buttery overtones. Slightly oily, dissolved-sugar enriched, watery texture, minimally dry, simultaneously minimally greasy palate, medium, mildly prickly carbonation. Nice composition exhibits a kind of terroir - not bad.

Pour un (grand) public non averti et qui aurait une première expérience d'IPA, cette Cosican IPA permettra de découvrir le style sur un équilibre correct et des arômes, même s'ils ne sont ni particulièrement complexes ou intense, qui sont plaisants. Les plus avertis d'entre nous serons forcément plus exigeants. A noter l'utilisation de 2 houblons dont le Citra. En verre nous sommes sur un blond légèrement orangé et voilé. Aucune mousse à la surface. Le nez est plaisant sur la mangue, la pêche, l'orange et le pamplemousse. En bouche, les fruits exotiques ne sont pas décelables, mais des arômes de résineux apparaissent agrémentés d'orange amère, d'un léger pamplemousse et de caramel. Le cocktail est appréciable mais plat tout de même. On retrouve ces arômes dès l'attaque qui présente un équilibre malt houblon très correct. On perd toutefois en tension en seconde bouche avec un alcool à 6 % un peu faiblard. Heureusement que l'amertume est un peu plus vive en arrière bouche (40 d'IBU). Celle-ci ne tient cependant pas la longueur, avec un final plus doux et moins intéressant. Si cette bière peut être un premier pas vers d'autres IPA et permet à un public plus large de s'orienter vers les bières artisanales, pourquoi pas.

Bottle. Hazy amber color with white head. Aroma is sticky, white sugar, leafy hops. Taste is the same, very sweet, not too balanced, sticky. Sticky mouthfeel with natural carbonation. Not great.

Bière 33 cl achetée au Spar de St Florent. Je n'avais pas vu qu'elle venait de la brasserie Pietra quand je l'ai achetée et je dois dire que je suis agréablement surprise car cette IPA est assez réussie, c'est ma favorite de cette brasserie pour le moment. (M)
