330ml bottle. Quasi black colour with very weak ruby shimmer and average to huge, thick, firm, frothy, moderately lasting minimally lacing, dark beige head. Roasty, chocolately, dark malty and grassy hoppy aroma, notes of coffee, dark chocolate, Belgian chocolate, whiffs of liquorice, light, minimally waxy, citrusy fruity hoppy overtones with a touch of tangerine. Taste is dry, roasty, slightly chocolately, dark malty, notes of coffee, some liquorice, dark chocolate, Belgian chocolate, moderately bitter, zesty, citrusy fruity hints of tangerine and orange peel. Creamy-watery texture, smooth and soft, simultaneously slightly dry palate, medium, mildly prickly carbonation. Rich, intense, balanced - a little gem!

Very dry. Clean classic porter. Similar to a stout since it has the roast and bitterness. But clean. Alles elvbe hamburg

Buddel: Deep amber coloured, huge and stable , beaten-egg-brown-like tanned head, moderate sourish-sweet and dryish toasty and ashy aroma with traces of turpentine and herbal hops; moderate bitter-sweet flavour, low acidity, nearly medium bodied, pretty soft; increasing acidity in the lingering dry roasty and bitter finish. Trocken schokladiger, stark herb-röstiger Beginn. Intensiv malziger Mittelteil, vollmundig, cremig. Bitter-trockener Hintergrund, leicht erhöhte Karbonisierung. Hopfig-bitterer und weiterhin schokoladiger Abgang, Röstnoten, lange anhaltend. Mehr davon! 12/12/12/13/11/13

06-04-19 // taster at Spring Beer Days Hamburg Hoppy Porter. Quite bitter, sort of a mix between a BIPA and a Porter. Still dry coffee notes.
