Aroma is moderately hippy with lots of grapefruit, citrus, tropical fruit and a balanced pine resin note. Faint malt backbone, but this is mostly hops. Pours a fairly clear golden orange with a thick slightly off white head with fairly good retention. Low lacing and fairly small legs. Flavor starts with a light sweet malt character with some cracker notes. After that it is all hops: lots of grapefruit and pine resin, lesser notes of other citrus and tropical fruit. Moderately high bitterness that is fairly clean. Light alcohol note in the finish along with a lingering bitterness and light malt note. Lingering pine resin and grapefruit. Finish is nice and dry. Mouthfeel is medium light bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and medium low alcohol warmth. Overall a very enjoyable IPA, but I must say I was expecting the hops to be brighter and fruitier. I have had this on tap before and remember it being a much fruitier IPA - this bottle is fairly dank and resiny. Still a very good, West Coast IPA. I wonder if some of the fruitiness was lost in transport to CA, but the tap version I had was also in CA.

Bottle as shown. Pours a cloudy gold with small frothy white head leaving spotty lacing. The aroma is a strong floral hop and pine. Medium mouthfeel with a strong hop bite and grapefruit. Easy to drink, a very good IPA from Fat Heads.

Received in trade from cpetrone84, thanks for the opportunity. Pours a clear deep golden color with a decent white head that slowly dissipates to a ring on top. Smells of citrus, pine, resin, dankness, and a hint of green onion with a solid bread and light caramel to back it up. The flavor sweet enough to remind you that this is beer with hints of brown bread and light sugar and a boatload of dank hoppy goodness. Resinous pine with hints of garlic and green onion and a light bit of citrus with a moderate level of hop bitterness. Medium body with a moderate level of carbonation and a sweet resinous mouthfeel. This is a really nice IPA, Iβm glad I got to try it.

Skyview Tasting, 2/23/13. VEry good. Big grapefruit and citrus in the aroma and flavor. Tons of hop quality, with malt taking a back seat, but it is still there to give some sweetness.

Draft @ Trion. Sweet honey malt, grapefruit, cat pee, and earthy aroma. Clear honey gold with a large off-white head. Sweet honey orange malt, floral earthy hops and sweet fennel seed flavor. Was a little surprised at the definitely fennel seed. Medium
