330ml bottle. Darkest brown colour with average, thick, creamy, moderately lasting minimally lacing, off-white to beige head. Rather weak, caramel malty aroma with Wittorfer-typical, cautious bretty interference, hints of malt lozenge, some chocolate, a fruity touch of cherry. Taste is sweet-ish caramel and minimally roasty dark malty, slightly dry, minimally bretty overtones, dry hints of dark chocolate, fruity hints of cherry and morello. Light, undercomplex, the bretty touch is the only thrilling aspect. In a way a Dry Stout with bretty infection - far away from the rich, complex and heavy specimen which dominate the Impy Stout category.

Huge thanks to Erzengel for that one! Bottle looks really good. Beer in the glass deep black, almost no head. Intense malty aroma. Starts strong, malty, roasty, some earthy notes. Not too strong or alcoholic. Finish milder than exspected, still warming malty. Not bad.

Bottle from the brewery. Fresh floral nose. The beer starts malty and rich. Deep with a nice roasted back, not too sweetish or sticky. Caramel, brown sugars, roasted grain. Nice long fresh aftertaste. Deep caramelly, very dry and moderate bitter. Very nice.

33cl bottle. A clear reddish brown beer with a off white head. Aroma of sweet caramelized malt, chocolate. Taste of sweet chocolate malt, caramel, nuts. Okay!

Süßlich schokoladiger, weich herber Antrunk. leicht bitter, konstante Malzigkeit, hohe Süffigkeit. Wenig Tiefgang, nicht kantig genug. Wirkt weichgespült, Massengeschmack. 9/9/10/9/10/9

Draught at KCBD18. Good coffee aroma. Almost black colour, seems almost clear. Very small head. The flavour is roasted and fairly bitter. Has a little liquorice to it. Late mild coffee note.

Draught @ KCBD18. Pours hazy dark brown with small off-beige head. Clear aroma of roast, with mild notes of malt and yeast. Bitter, roasty flavor wit notes of malt and touches of caramel and yeast and hops. Roasty and estery aftertaste. Not bad but rather watery.
