750ml bottle...kept cold and pumped for two days after opening, so the carbonation had faded at this point. This is definitely a skewed rate..more of a journal entry than the hyper-accurate numerical score generally attributed. Deep, thick malts, really nice in that regard. Big smoke tones sort of meld with the alcohol tones and gets a little intense, but I love the real malt tones, as opposed to fake me out sugary American Stouts of late. Really enjoyable, well made stuff. Makes me wonder what a glass would go for in Iceland. Solid.

Bottle - Dark cocoa and some light smoke. Jet black brown with a decent beige head. Cocoa and some light smoke with a long roasty bitter finish.

Bottle shared at pre-THT. Black with small beige head. Roasted malts, light cow dung, some smoke, dark chocolate, dead leaves, touch of marzipan, light grass and herbs, brown sugar. Medium sweet and bitter. Bit over medium bodied.

Bottle, BB 05.06.19 (from Koht). Pours black. Aroma is smoke, greasy bacon, malt. Flavor is sweet and bitter, malt, roast, smoke, dark chocolate, tar. Finish is dark chocolate-roast bitter with some tar thrown in. Alcohol is somewhat noticeable. Overall: very good, bit too tarry for me and not as balanced as the best smoked beers.

Pours a pitch black with an inch of tannish foam.

Smells smokey as hell with side notes of bitter chocolate and coffee.

Smokey, lots of roasted malt, bitter (dark) chocolate, toffee, not much of a coffee flavour. Pretty boozy.

Full bodied imho but superbly smooth on my palate.

Like a bumped up Alaskan Smoked Porter. I suppose that explains my love for it.

Pours a rich dark brown with a khaki head, quickly dissipating with little lacing. *koff* Little bits of *koff* dark chocolate in the nose and mouth, *hackhackhack* there’s also plenty of peaty *wheeeeeeze* smoke. *Gack*
