Cask-conditioned at the Commercial Rooms (JDW), Bristol March 2022. Pale gold in colour, with a thin, white, head. Some floral, slightly oily, hops, tangerine fruit, rich tea malts, leading to a moderately bitter finish. Ok.

Cask at Lime Kiln, Liverpool. Was surprised I hadnโ€™t drunk this before. Pours a golden amber with minimal off-white head and good lacing. Just some hoppiness in the aroma. In the mouth there are sweet malts and citrus with grains and oranges lurking underneath. Finish is fruity and slightly dry. This is a decent beer.

Half a pint on cask at the Gate House. Medium creamy white head. Clear golden pour. Light bitterness. OK.

Clear and golden with a frothy white head and a soft cereal malt aroma. Light bodied with a little citrus kick in there, some floral hops but just a bit average

Cask at spoons. Name better than the beer. Classic bitter, dry, bitter and refreshing, light fruit.

Cask, JDW. Lifeless amber looks with a thin off white head. Muted citrus nose. Thin flavour, some hop presence just rescues this from total mediocrit. OK bitter finish. Forgettable.

Hand-pulled pint into a UK sleeve on 1 May 2013 in a local pub I rarely use. Amber, clear body with a white head that produced some good lacing. Hops first and foremost, as the name suggests, but this isnโ€™t a hop bomb or even a beer majoring on hops, just not a lot of malt presence throughout. I found it boring and bland to be honest, a semi-dry finish with uninteresting flavours: fruit esters blend with mildly citrus hints, but nothing was strong or bold. Not a bad beer, just not my cup of tea.

Handpump at the Spoon in Heathrow T5. Earthy hops on a clayish malt base. Dark amber, flat, creamy offwhite head. Honeyish malt notes, salty/spicy on the tounge, earthy hop balance. Medium to light light sparkly mouthfeel. I was disappointed with the low hop levels.
