Bottle from Beers of Europe. Appearance - cloudy amber with a thin head. Nose - properly sour apples, and apple skins. Taste - more ripe but sour apples. Sour apple sauce. Palate - virtually no carbonation, close to medium bodied with a long tangy middle section that leads through the finish. Overall - lovely cider.

Bottle at home in London - picked up at Kris Wines. Pours clear gold with a slight, foamy white head. Lovely and dynamic aroma, with some juicy apple character, alongside musty apple skins and cellar. Medium sweet flavour with ripe and juicy apples, some funky dryness, bitter peels, impressions of cinnamon. Light bodied with average to lively carbonation. Clean finish, moderately drying, with nice apple juice character, cut through with musty dryness and more bitter apple peel. You also get hints of ginger and cinnamon, and very subtle tartness. I really like this one. It has decent complexity and is immensely drinkable.

320ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Orangey golden amber colour, short-lived white foam head and aroma of apple, vanilla oak, vinegar, funk. Flavour is tart apple, tannins, woody, oak, leather, rubber, barnyard, bittersweet. Medium bodied, soft to medium carbonation, drying sourish woody tannic finish. Quite OK.

Bottle from Corks, Bristol. Dry, yet juicy, apple aroma with a hint of oak. Easy drinking, with some barnyard funkiness, slightly spicy, tart apples and a short yet dry finish. Good.
