330ml bottle from Drinkswell, Ripon. Hazy yellow gold colour, fizzy white foam head that dissipates to a thin layer and aroma of fruity apple, woody, earthy, light barnyard. Taste is tart juicy apple, apple skins, wood, tannins, light barnyard. Light to medium bodied, spritzy carbonation, dry tannic finish. Quite drinkable.

330ml bottle at Crêperie du Monde, London. Lovely fresh aroma, bright apple flavour, not as sweet as some Brittany cidres, a sharpness to the taste. Very drinkable, a large bottle of this would be a welcome addition to the fridge on a hot summer day.

Bottle at home. Pours clear, bubbly gold with a soft, white head. Rich, semi-ripe apple nose with some caramel and mild funk. Light to medium sweet, dry with fresh apples, light sweat, dank must. Light to medium in body and well carbonated. Crisp, faintly dry finish, not too sweet with more fresh, sweaty apples. Very good cider.

Bottle from Carringtons, Chorlton, Drunk at home watching the Masters. Dark orangey gold colour, slight haze. Woody, sweetish apple nose. Nice softish sweet flavour with great quality apple notes ; all pretty well balanced with a moderate dryness. Am a fan of cider like this.

Bottle that I had with my meal at Cafe Rouge, Cheltenham, Glos’ 05-09-09 Pours a murky cloudy golden colour there is medium carbonation, some white bubbles on the top. There is a touch of floralness and some twigs on the nose. Nicely tangy in the mouth but also, softened apples, nice fruity bite, tasty stuff. A6 A3 F6 P4 Ov13 3.2

Cloudy copper color. Very nice aroma, mature, a bit woody, very light Bourbon. Quite good, dry at the end, too much astringent. Nice smokey-earthy note.
