Bright, light yellow colour. Sweet aroma. Well balanced flavour, a little sweetness, a little spiciness (clove).

bottle@ZBF 2011:lot of champagne yeast/flavour, look, structure (meaning too much carbonation for a beer) but with some sweetness, zesty, dry fruits, honey, wheat & slightly bitter ending, noticeable alcohol in the finish, better than Deus but still not really getting the Champagne beers

[3/6/11] Bottle at ZBF 2011. Slightly hazy golden with a frothy white head. Aroma of yeast, alcohol and fruits. Sweetish flavor with a tiny bit of acidity and a drier, spicy, alcoholic finish. Too much alcohol in the flavor.

Hazy golden with a white head. Aroma is fruity, citrus, yeasty and spicy. Flavor is medium sweeet. The finish is dry and has notes of alcohol. Very champagne like and bubbly. Too high carbonation. I had beer all over the kitchen table. 221206

Bouteille: Pale golden, white floaties visible, big stable white head; moderate to solid zesty and fruity nose; solid sourish-tart and sweet flavour, medium-bodied, soft; lingering zesty and yeasty finish. Very good, very well drinkable brew....

(bottle, 75cl) Hazy, pale golden coloured hue with myriads of floaties and a huge and persistent foamy white head. Mildly yeasty and distinctively citrus-fruity (grapefruit) and slightly zesty aroma with a tinge of wheat and hay-like spicy hops. Moderately sweet and delicately bitter flavour, medium to full bodied with a surprisingly smooth carbonation. Yeasty, discreetly grainy and wheaty taste with a pronounced and slightly vinous citric fruit-character and a whiff of hoppy spice; sweet and slightly sour-fruity, slightly vinous finish. Ambitious brew. 10.XI.10

750ml bottle at the DC Local tasting. Pours a lightly hazy straw gold with a frothy white head. Very heavy carbonation. Aroma is non existent... light malt, light spice. Flavor is also... non existent, malty, light grass. Finish is watery. Whoa. What a terrible Cuvee. Nothing here.

Bottle from Grobbendonk, brought to DC local tasting. Bright yellow color, champagne-like head. Aroma of licorice and white pepper. Taste is smooth lemon cream pie, but lacks character and complexity. I had high expectations for this one, but I was disappointed.

Bottle: Poured a dirty hazy beige color ale with a medium size foamy head with good retention and minimal lacing. Aroma of Belgian malt with typical Champagne yeast notes and mildly sweet fruity ester. Taste is also a strange mix between some nice strong Belgian malt with a bready dry Champagne yeast note and some well balanced lingering sweetness. Body is quite full with good carbonation and no appearance of alcohol was noted. Very well done and something I would drink more often if it was more accessible.

15cl sample from 75cl bottle at 3rd Brugs BF. Hazy golden yellow colour, white head. Aroma of yeast, fruits like green apples, floral hoppy notes, light champagne-like. Flavour is light to medium sweet, floral, yeast, some alcohol, light fruity, with a nice dry bitter finish. Despite the champagne yeast very soft in the mouth. Medium bodied.
