In a Box, half-pint in the Red Lion, the pub inside the National Tramway Museum on 6th May 2023. Almost the colour of Ribena, taste was similar too!

Bottle: Poured a a maroon ruby red with a bubble head. Aroma is fruity, berries, black currant, apples. Taste is sweet, berry, black currant, apple, custard.

Keg, half-pint at Pint Shop Cambridge. Shared with Finn. Deep, blood reddish body, no head, no lacing. Moderate smell of berry skins and ripe apples. Balanced berry-fruity flavours, mid-sweet apples and red-berries. Rather sweet fruit-berry end. Okay. (Cambridge 14.11.2021).

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Appearance - deep purple. Not much head. Nose - blackcurrant and apple. Decent sourness from the apples. Taste - as per the nose. More tart apple and blackcurrant. Palate - light to medium bodied, fairly dry and refreshing through middle and finish. Overall - quite liked this.

Box @ William Stead, Darlington. Deeper red in colour, is sticky-sweet and tastes like Ribena cordial.

Gag-in-a-box at Trembling Madness, York 19/8/2018. Mauve in colour with slight carbonation. this was dominated by blackcurrant fruits rather than apple character, but at least avoided being too sweet. Ok for what it is.

22/7/2018. Bag in a box at the Wor Local Micropub, Prudhoe. Pours dark red amber with no head. Aroma of strawberry, raspberry, apple, blackcurrant and hint of cherry. Heavy sweetness, light bitterness and sour. Moderate body, slight oily texture, soft to flat carbonation.
