Bottle from Britishlocalcraft. Sweet malts in the aroma with just a hint of marmalade. Pours a bright copper brown with a small off-white head. Sweet malts again in the mouth, with autumn fruits and a little metallic undertone. Some bitterness in the finish. It’s a standard traditional bitter – and none the worse for that..

500 ml bottle, from Det Gode Brygg, Sandnes. ABV is 4.1%. Amber colour, moderate white head. Weak aroma of English hops, hints of berries and dust. Soft mouthfeel, nice. Decent malts (for its strength) in the flavour, moderate English hops with pleasant berry notes, hints of toffee. Enjoyable. Might well buy again.

Flaske 500ml fra Kjeller 5. Amber. Filmskum. Plommearoma. Smaken lett fruktig. Fersken. Avslutter litt syrlig - men blir for tynn.

500ml bottle bought at Kjeller 5, shared with Finn Arvid at his place. Dissipating off-white head, hazy amber-red in body coloure. Caramel and herbal hops on the nose. Caramel flavours together with berry fruit and leafy hops towards the ending. Lightly bittersweet finish. Standard Brit bitter, more or less (Tromsø 28.01.2016).

Cask at Britannia Inn, Darlington. Deep amber colour, creamy white foam head and fruity citrusy hop aroma. Taste is malt, some caramel, toffee, biscuit, fruity, floral citrus hoppy and lingering earthy bitterness. Smooth mouthfeel, light to medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry bitter finish. Quite drinkable.

Cask @ White Swan, Leeds. Deep amber with a creamy head. Thin textured bitter, quite crisp for it but there’s little taste or flavour to enjoy, and without much bitterness. There’s some fruitiness in its nose.

500ml Bottle - Copper in colour. Chestnuts, biscuity malt and a hint of dried fruit in the aroma. Fruity, malty and nutty taste with notes of raisins, berries, walnuts, chestnuts and toffee. Balanced and tasty.
