Cask at CBC, Clerkenwell. It pours golden amber with a small off-white head. The nose is earth, wood, leather, varnish, light resin, toffee and butterscotch. The taste is pretty watery, earth, wood, mild toast, pond-water, dull bitterness, faint must and astringency with a dry finish. Light-medium body and soft carbonation. A bit watery. So-so bitter.

Cask@Euston Tap, London. Amber colour with a small slightly off-white head. Aroma is caramel malts, mild berries and some slight herbal and grainy notes. Flavour is quite similar with some mild nutty notes as well. A bit too strong on the berryish notes.

Cask-conditioned at the Seven Stars, Bristol 2/7/2012. Deep amber with a slight white head. Sweet, caramel and berry fruit aroma. Flavour was dominated by sweet, husky cereals along with some more caramel, before a moderatelym bitter finish. Not for me.
