Bottle @ Beer Makers Dinner, Barr. Pours deep hazy red, still. Notes of heavy cherry, almonds, fruity and lightly acetic acidity, lightly funky, floral, earthy. Super delicious kriekenlambik!

Pours dark red, big pink foam. Smell is full, cherry, mild oak. Poured at Shelton, dark brown with small beige head that diminishes to nothing. The aroma is strong oak, dark fruit, leather, funk. Thin body, funky, oak, dry finish, boozy, very nice.

Cask @ the source. Dark Ruby red color. Shyish cherry jam aroma. Sweetish cherry juice flavor. Just a little sourness in the aftertaste. Hints of oak brown away by the cherries. Very nice!

0,15l from tap at the brewery. As Robijnlambik. Bourdeaux like color, small pink head. Smells of berries, cherries, marzipan, very nice smell. Full body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. Tastes of cherry jam, joghurt, berry notes, light Raspberries, bit of Blueberries, light yogurt, almonds. Finishes lightly dry and very lightly sour with notes of almonds, cherry and some berry notes. Very very nice one, very smooth 8, 4, 9, 4, 18

One of the original Spelingen van het Lot by 3 Fonteinen, dating back two years but apparently kept in production for on site consumption at Lambik-O-Droom, as Robijnlambiek, from tap. Thanks Ama Deke for sharing. Initially thick and foamy, pale lilac-pink head, dissipating over a very deep, beautiful purplish red robe with intense ruby glow. Aroma teeming with fresh sour cherries, including the almond-like effect from the seeds and cherry skins, cherry wine, cherry vinegar, yoghurt, sour apple, lemon rind and something green and spicy, lime zest-like or indeed green cherry tree leaves - cherry clearly is all around here. Same for the taste, brimming with fleshy sour cherries, providing some fructose to soften the basic fruit acidity and lambic tartness, making it highly drinkable; cherry seed and skin tannins add wryness, carbonation remains evidently very soft, with more tannic effects from the wood in the end - yet the copious amount of cherries keeps the finish juicy and fleshy. Cherry lambic at its very best, and interesting as the progenitor of a series of bottled cherry Spelingen, all of which were equally impressive.
