March 2009: 500ml Brown bottle, drank very close to its best by date. Poured into a vase shaped ’Old Speckled Hen’ pint glass. Good looking beer, fine amber colour with an off-white foaming head. The body was bright and clear. Incredible peach aroma, they claim to add extract of peach blossom to the brew, well you can certainly smell it. The beer is far from sweet, but that peach blossom does come through in the flavours too. A good ’bite’ to the beer, tangy and hoppy too. I am not a big fruit beer or sweet beer sort of guy, but this beer realy impressed me. Had I read the label more carefully I doubt I’d have bought it, but glad I did. The 4.5% alcohol holds up well and although I have reviewed plenty of beers from this brewery, this is one of the best in my opinion.

Bottle courtesy of Tesco :-). This one of my favourite summer beers. The label says its refreshingly peachy and they are not wrong! Some might consider it overpowering, but for me it works well with the bitterness of the hops. Everyone who I have served it to really enjoyed it. Don't over chill it or you won't enjoy the full flavours of this excellent and very much underrated beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Clear amber with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty and heavy peach. Flavor is quite sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and moderate bitter finish. Strange beer with all the peach flavors. 150412

Aroma: Strong peach notes. Strong fruit smell.

Appearance: Pinkish amber in colour. Small head. Light carbonation.

Taste: Melon and peach. Very sweet - possibly too sweet. A light, refreshing taste.

Palate: Thin bodied. Watery mouthfeel.

Overall: Very fruity, very sweet. An unusual beer that I would drink again.

Bottle from Tesco, Inverness. Only one from Badger on sale that day in a brown bottle. Why clear for the others?
Appearance - Dark golden amber, medium white head that dissipates.
Aroma - Lots of peach, floral hops, perfumy, caramel malt, bit of toffee.
Taste - Peach, aromatic floral hops, toffee, background of light cereal malt.
Palate - Finish is a continuation of main flavour, sweet, some light bitter hops, then rapidly peters out.
Overall - An unusual beer with added peach blossom which dominates it and makes it rather 1-dimensional. However, it’s quite pleasent to have the 1 bottle or pint - you wouldn’t session it.

Warning! Early amateur rating! Does exactly what it says on the tin! A slightly bitter ale with very distinctive peach and melon tones - not subtle. Clever. Decent.
