Draft - Sweet dark liquorice, with a touch of berry and malted milk. Jet black with a decent beige head. Sweet dark malts, some medicinal fruity notes. Sweet and malty, but the raspberry really doesn’t rear its head as it should.

Keg at The Bottle Shop, Bermondsey, London. A black coloured pour with a medium beige head on top. Roasty, malty, raspberry, chocolate aroma. Tastes roasty, malty, chocolate, raspberry. Incredibly easy to drink, very nice indeed.

Keg at the bottle shop druid Street. A dark black mahogany brown coloured pour with a lasting mid tan head. Aroma is nice fresh raspberry fruit, hint of musty sour, dark choc, dark black forest fruits. Flavour is composed of rich dark choc, tangy tart fruit, woody fruit pips. Palate is woody tangy tart fruit, medium full bodied, moderate carbonation. Pretty good.

Keg at Bottleshop. It pours jet black with a medium light tan head. The aroma is soft, sweet, mellow, sticky, juicy, deep chocolate vibe, chocolate cake, fresh raspberry, roasted malt, dark toffee, fudge and millionaires shortbread. The taste is smooth, rich roasted malt, toasty, charred wood, mild bitterness, dark chocolate, cocoa, tobacco, fresh raspberry, chocolate covered raspberry, sour cherry, mild acidity, cranachan, warming alcohol, charred wood and rocky road with a toasty and warming finish. Full body and fine carbonation. Well rounded and dangerously drinkable. Good stuff.
