This is our classic bourbon barrel-aged barleywine ale, Mash, joining forces with even stickier, malt-forward forces from our barrel warehouse to create the gooey-sweet profile you’d expect from a french toast-like creation from The Bruery. If the allure of rich, caramelized notes or maple character don’t rouse you out of bed, the wafts from our brewer’s kitchen will, summoning you with nutmeg and cinnamon spices and warm vanilla character. It’s time to roll up your sleeves and Mash & French Toast. No utensils required.

Big bottle shared at work, 2022 version I guess. Craaazy spicy and savoury both in aroma and taste, nutmeg and cinnamon are all over it, some maple also shows. There’s not much malt character to talk about, which is surprising in a beer as big as this, the body is fairly thin on it, and subsequently it’s quite boozy too. Nah, not really.

750mL bottle, pours a clear dark amber with a small beige head. Aroma is full of cinnamon, hot bourbon, baking spices, and caramel. Flavour is egregious, with tons of baking spices, caramel, and hot bourbon. A hot boozy, spicy mess with little to like.

Bottle 750ml @ rasmus
Pours hazy reddish brown with a beige head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, cinnamon, dried fruits and alcohol. Taste is medium to heavy sweet and light to medium bitter with a long warm, caramel, cinnamon and dried fruity finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Bottle pour from share from AirForceHops--thanks Chris! It's a dark, dark brown with light sparkle, finger-width khaki her with good retention and trace lacing. Aroma is strong cinnamon, french toast, nutmeg, caramel. Taste is strong, sweet bourbon (a little harsh) and apple/cinnamon, french toast, caramel apple, nutmeg. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with smooth texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, very nice french toast flavors and nice complexity but a smidge of bourbon harshness that detracts a little.

750 ml bottle. Aroma is soft maple, cinnamon, and mild bready malt. Flavor has a good amount of cinnamon but shows the bready malt and maple in the finish. Not overly sweet. TJ said he gets a apple hint. It is legit. The adjuncts are crazy balanced. Real nice from Bruery.

2019 vintage split 4 ways thanks Chris. Aroma is cinnamon and nutmeg, maple and apple. Taste is exactly like it says. Really delicious, well balanced, cinnamon forward, nice barrel treatment. Wow.

2019 version. Bottle at Wodan tasting. Murky brownish color, average sized beige head. Smell and taste malts, lightly some herbal or spicy notes in the distance. A bit sweetish in the distance. Pleasantly thick. Quite nice.
