Bottle thanks to blutt59. I have rated this beer before on tap, so these ratings will be merged soon, but I might as well re-rate it. Pours with a clear golden body and a small, white head. Aroma of citrus, pineapple, spicy and herbal. Taste is citrus, herbal and grassy. Light bubbles. Tastes quite fresh.

On tap at the Universal City Location. Pours with a small, white, long lasting head covering a clear yellow body. Aroma of honey and very mild hops (British hops of some sort). Dry, earthy taste, very malty. Dry mouthfeel.

Draught. Clear reddish copper with some small white head. Aroma is floral hops with tangy fruit (grapefruit or pineapple). Medium body and carbonation. Flavour starts sweet and fruity (pineapple or grapefruit again) and ends with a pleasant bitter finish. A well balanced pale ale.

Draft at the Carlsbad location. A hazy golden beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is malty combined with notes fo citrus and grapefruit. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of grass and grapefruit on a malty back ground, and with a light touch of strawberries, leading to a bitter finish. 35 IBU’s.

Draft at Disney’s California Adventure Park. Nose of pine and floral hops with some light caramel balance. Clear light amber with a medium off white head. Flavor is piney bitterness finishing with a light dose of the bitter remaining. Decently hoppy beer if you are at Disneyland with the family, but you will need a parkhopper or CA ticket to get you in to get some!

From tap at the brewpub in Carlsbad. Pours clear and golden orange with a fully diminished white head. Peachy and mild orange fruity hops aroma, quite inviting. Dry hoppy grapefruit flavour with a mild peachy flavour following. Starts solid bitter but goes lovely fruity into the finish. Nice one.

Sample at the Sorrento Valley location. This brew is a deep amber color with a medium thin light beige head that dissipates steadily. Stringy lacing. Citrus hops aroma with a touch of malt. Medium body with grapefruit and hops flavors, along with some sweet malt. The finish is dry and hoppy with a lingering bitterness left over. Not bad overall.

on tap-pours a thin retaining light tan head that laces and amber color. Aroma is nice citrus-pink grapefruit hops. Taste is nice citrus-pink grapefruit hops-some bitter (c-hops). Secondary medium malt, which fades to faint. Dry. Bitter hop finish.

On tap at La Jolla location Karl Strauss. Pours deep gold with a nearly copper core and white head. The aroma is big with a dose of pine, grassiness and hints of grapefruit hops. Smells great. The mouth feel seems thin throughout. The taste begins with fresh grapefruit juice hop flavor and bitterness followed by a mild pulse of pine hop bitterness and faint malty sweetness. The watery-ness of the beer is a bit distracting. Very enjoyable. Maybe I was expecting much less.
