Box @ Brunswick Inn, Derby. Pours hazy gold. Sweet apple juice aroma. Taste is gently spiced apple fruit, medium-sweet, nicely rounded and with much more life than previous Ascension ciders, nice drinkability.

500ml bottle. Slightly hazy golden colour, no head and spiced juicy apple aroma. Taste is juicy apple, sweet, fruity, spiced hints with some cardboardy oxidised notes. Medium bodied, low carbination, sweetish finish. OK.

Cask handpull at the Cock Tavern - Hackney. Pours unclear gold with no head. Sugary apple aroma, a little artificial, some green apple skin. Medium to big sweet flavour with semi-ripe, well sugary apple character, mi imal bittwrness, faint alcohol. Medium bodied, lightly oily, with soft carbonation. Subtly tangy to finish, with further sweet apple character. Pretty basic, but drinkable.

330ml can. Pale straw colour with a slight haze, thin white head for a short time. Fermented apple aroma, tannin, some fresh apple juice. Taste is rather sweet, but not cloying, says on the can fresh apple juice is added and I get that more so than the aroma gives away, in fact this almost tastes like fizzy apple juice rather than a cider. Sparkling carbonation, light body. Very nice, easy drinking and refreshing.
