Mikkellers tribute to the foul-mouthed stewardess Jackie Brown from Quentin Tarantino’s movie of the same name. It’s a roasty, chocolaty brown ale with hints of coffee and licorice. Being a Mikkeller brew the malts are inevitably complimented by a great amount of hop bitterness, aroma and flavour.

Bottle from MikkellerBeerMail. Pours opaque dark brown with medium light brown head. Aroma is apples, iron, anise and hints of soap. Taste is medium sweet, light to medium bitter, faint acidic and faint to light salty. Body is oily with medium carbonation. Finish is long and balanced sweet and bitter with notes of caramel, (slightly burnt) brown sugar, apples, iron, anise, rye bread, apple seeds and hints of grapefruit. Rich and well balanced.

Flavour is medium bitter and light sweet, malty, fruity, dark toffee, coffee, with long duration, dry malty and hopbitter finish, coffee, spicy notes. Medium body, oily texture, average carbonation; rich and very good.

I’m not a huge fan of this beer, the body seems far too thin to keep up to the bitterness. The taplines also seem unclean for the first pour of the day. MikkellerWarsaw

LCRBM2: Huge vinous aroma with raisin. Nutty bitter flavor. There was too little beer left to get a really good impression, but the aroma was great. Need a re-rate on this one. (8 3 6 3 14 = 3.4) And here it is.... Bottle from the brewmaster himself. Malt, cacao and licorice in the aroma. Malty sweetish flavor with cacao and a firm herbal hopbitter explosion in which I even can trace grapefruit and blackcurrant. A flavor bomb, very well made.

DRAFT at Mikeller Bucharest. Murky brown. Sweet dark fruity. The taste is not up to that level. Caramel and dark fruit, musty cardboard. Weird.
