330ml bottle from Chez Sophie. Pours super dark with a deep brown head. Aroma of rich high-cocoa chocolate, big coffee grains and a soft sweetness. Taste continues with a smooth, layered, indulgent desert-like character. Having not been hugely won over by other Omnipollo stouts, which were perhaps too sweet or intense, this seems to have the balance just right with a robust strength that suits its heavy body. Excellent.

almost black colour, large, dense creamy brown head, which lasts for several minutes; aroma of roasted coffee, dark chocolate, hints of vanilla and slight herbal liqueur notes; taste of coffee, dark chocolate, syrupy sweetness, vanilla, some roasted nuts, hints of soy sauce and even some minimal smokey notes; spicy alcoholic-herbal liqueur aftertaste; excellent imperial stout!

Bottle at tasting. Black pour. Aroma of coffee, earthy vanilla and roasted malt. Taste is very rich, with lots of earthy vanilla, coffee, some cherry, caramel, roasted malt, cream and a little bitter pine. Omnipollo is the king of the dessert stout.

Tap at Alehouse. Pitch black color with big dark beige head. Aroma is milk chocolate, chocolate cake, vanilla, coffee. Taste is milk chocolate, coffee, vanilla. Soft oily mouthfeel, slight booze kick. Excellent (but artificial).

0.33 l bottle from ’P&M Getränke’, brewed at ’De Proefbrouwerij’, best before January 2022. Pitch black with a medium large, frothy, stable, light brown head. Intense, sweetish-malty, slightly roasty aroma of milk chocolate, hazelnut, vanilla and some coffee beans. Very sweet, malty and slightly roasty taste of milk chocolate, nougat, hazelnut, vanilla, coffee beans and slight hints of dark fruits, followed by a medium long, moderately roasty-bitter, slightly earthy-dry finish. Almost full-bodied, creamy and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft to average carbonation. Great dessert!

Draft @ Bishops Arms Savoy, Malmö. Pours a black color with a small tan head. Has a roasted malty chocolate vanilla and coffee aroma. Roasted malty coffee vanilla and chocolate flavor. Has a roasted malty coffee vanilla and chocolate finish.

Bottle at home from Dorst, The Hague. Black with a decent brown head. Aroma of rich coffee, dark chocolate, coconut notes, vanilla, malt and caramel. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter. Light full bodied with soft carbonation. Pretty good but certainly with some of that artificial feeling common to Omnipollo stouts.

(330ml bottle @ VilleValla Pub, Linköping, Apr 25/17) Pours black with dense dark brown head that fades to a ring with spotty lace. Aroma of earthy coffee, dark fruit, cocoa powder, rich dark malts, molasses, nutty hints, strong vanilla. Flavour is fairly sweet to start, molasses and burnt malt, quite roasty, lots of bitter, earthy coffee, nuts, stewed fruit, cacao, vanilla. Finish is dry and roasted, bitter coffee, nuts, vanilla, ash. Medium-full body, carbonation is slightly too high and prickling for my taste, but improves with some swirling. No booze. Very nice stuff, huge malt character and nice supporting coffee. Vanilla still has a bit of an ’extract’ vibe, but less so than most Omnipollo stouts.

Vollmundiger, sehr cremig malziger Antrunk. Dabei sind Vanillearomen deutlich erschmeckbar, sehr weich. Harmonische, sehr erdige Kaffeearomen, wenig herb, sehr trocken röstig. Langer dunkel schokoladiger Nachgeschmack, noch wenig Vanille, vollmundig. Komplex und dennoch süffig. 13/13/12/13/10/13
