Appearance is pitch black, with a dark brown/tan head which leaves lacing. Looks forbidding. Aroma- lots and lots of coffee, espresso, treacle, fudge cake, smoky scorched malt, dark chocolate, tiramisu, roasted treacly coffee beans. Taste- ridiculously good. Rich dark coffee, roast malt, espresso, dark chocolate cheesecake, vanilla sweetness, pipe tobacco, burnt toast, treacle, hints of blackcurrant, more coffee- the after-dinner variety. Mouthfeel is oily, full, with a sticky clingy finish. Superb.

From a 330ml bottle on 1/10/2017. Pours near black with a medium dark tan head. The aroma features chocolate, coffee and roasted malt. The flavour is sharpish, with less coffee than I was expecting. There's lots of chocolate, burnt/roasted malt, and a bit of vanilla. It drinks like 11%, with a notable booziness. Creamy and slick in the mouth, with moderate carbonation. Pretty full on but doesn't completely come together for mine.

(Bottle, 0.33 l - BB 31/01/22, from Põrgu, 20170930) The beer poured black. Its head was medium sized, dense, lightly brown and it lasted long. Aroma had coffee, burnt malts, creaminess and liquorice. Palate was full bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, coffee, liquorice, lactic sweetness, vanilla, dark chocolate and bitterness. Aftertaste was burnt, sweet and bitter with coffee. A pleasant balanced brew with clean coffee notes.

Bottle from CBB. Big coffee nose, cocoa, chocolate, vanilla, pancakes and biscuits, phenolic berries. Black, with a pretty brown head. Creamy, milky flavor, chocolate, cafe au lait, vanilla, cola. Very dessert-like. Good first impression drops off a bit as I drink it and the vanilla flavors start to feel fake and the stickiness gets to be a bit too much.

Bottle picked up from Kaapse Brew Shop, . Had this at Mini Camping Polderflora, Alphen aan den Rijn, Netherlands, Sunday 24th September 2017 after a great 44.5 mile return cycle ride from Alphen aan den Rijn to After Borefts Beer Festival at Rotterdam Ok Omnipollo you are on something of a roll, Blueberry Slab Cake Ice cream 4.2, the Waffle Ice Cream thing 4.2 and now this another 4+ beer. The coffee isn't quite as in yer face as the Kees Double Shot I had on Friday but it's good. Soft and creamy in the mouth the vanilla is good, there is a little sweet spirit edge, it's a bit sticky but it's chocolate milkshake and mocha heaven. A8 A4 T8 P5 Ov16 4.1

Bottle thanks to Kristi. Pours black with small beige head that diminishes quickly. The aroma is strong roast, cocoa, vanilla, licorice, spice. Medium body, dark chocolate, spice, nice bitter roast, boozy, very good.
