Proef de zomer met Jopen Adriaan Wit. Dit witbier bevat niet alleen tarwe en haver, maar ook kruiden. Dit resulteert in een fris en fruitig bier met een zachte smaak. Zeer dorstlessend en ideaal op een zonnig terras.
Jopen Adriaan Wit is vernoemd naar stadsmolen De Adriaan. Deze molen stond eeuwenlang aan de oever van het Spaarne. De molen ging in 1932 in vlammen op. Jopen heeft de herbouw van De Adriaan gesponsord door middel van de verkoop van dit witbier.

330 ml. bottle @ home from AH. BBF 09 FEB 2019. Quite hazy golden with beer, disappearing fluffy white head. Nose is overly perfumed bit buttery citrus wheat, air refresher citrus. Sparkling perfumed sweet butter wheat, white bread, lemonade & air refresher citrus, low green apple,.. Buttery wheat body. Butter notes are not in a diacetyl fashion, its actually quite refreshing, no punishing coriander,… It is a rather throwback BE-styled NL beer but one that is surprisingly pleasant to actually drink, far better than expected & far better than most witbier.

Bottle: Very cloudy pale yellow with a tall white head. Wheat, lemon, clove scent. Taste is light, milky citrus, wheat malt. Not too sweet, not too sharp. Very pleasant.

Draught at De Paas, stable medium creamy head, cloudy lemon color with orange taints, aroma of wheat and bubblegum with a spicey hint, flavor of lemon grapefriut and bubblegum with some almond in the back, light citrusy bitterness, light sourness, prickly carbonation. Very nice and really easy to drink.

Hyvin hailakanvaalea sameahko olut, jonka vaahto katoaa nopeasti kokonaan. Tuoksussa jonkinlainen yllättävä hieman tunkkaisen sitruksinen ja korianterinen aromi. Jollain kierolla tavalla omaan nenääni leijailee jopa palvikinkkuista tuoksua. Maku sitruksinen, mutta samalla hieman tunkkainen. Melko kuiva, kevyt suutuntuma, runsaasti hiilihappoja. Ei silti lainkaan raikas witbier.

( Bottle, 0.33 l - BB 13 Apr 2017, from Alko, 20160625) The beer poured yellow and cloudy. Its head was small and white. Aroma had fruitiness, coriander and grass. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, coriander, grass, sweetness, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was spicy and bitter. A rather nice wit.

A light yellow beer, a head is medium and white. Aroma has lemon, wheat and some coriander. Taste has lemon with slight lemony tartness, some spicyness, mustyness in the end. Medium bodied, strong carbonation. Not refreshning enough. Decent.

The Sampler, Brooklyn bottle: pours hazy whitish with a white head. Aroma is lemon and light spice. Tste is lemony. Hint of lemony tartness at the finish. Not really complex, but pleasant and easy to drink even after a large meal.
