Double India Pale Ale
The Calling is an undeniable IPA we were driven to make. It's our tribute to like-minded dreamers, adventurous spirits, and glass half-full optimists. Bursting forth with unmistakable tropical fruit and pine hop aromas and flavor, it's supported with a slightly sweet malt character and tapers to a crisp, dry finish. Heed your call and enjoy.

Sample at de koninck. Bright Yellow color, clear, bigh white head, persistebr. Hoppy anwll. Aroma of citric hops, very strong, grapefruit, resin, huge pale malts with strangely a burned/charcoal note. Extra dry burning finish. Taste is extremely bitter amd persistent, cuts off the tongue. Violently hopped and very strong, super.

Bottle from Albert Heijn. Poured a clear straw colour with a frothy white head and a few bubbles. The aroma is malt, woody hop, light alcohol. The flavour is moderate to strong bitter with a crisp, light fruit, floral alcoholic hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

Helder geel bier zonder schuim. Smaak is krachtig hoppig en fruitig friszuur met iets van ananas, citrus, zwarte thee en ietwat rook.

Not sure if I’m drinking old beer or what, but all the massive hop goodness other reviewers swoon over don’t seem present in my pint. Mostly I get a moderate bitterness, slight citrus notes, and a helluva lot of pine, all set against an overly sweet caramel malt middle. Not the hop-bomb I needed to close out the night.
