Draught @ Batch Brewing Company, Sydney, Australia. Pours black with a creamy brown head. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, cocoa, chocolate. Flavor is light sweet, roast malt, cocoa, milk chocolate. Thin to medium body, soft carbonation, light sweet finish. A bit thin, but otherwise nice. 110317

(Bottle) Pours clear very dark brown with ruby hints and good tan head. Nice aroma - coffee, hints of toffee and wood. Medium bodied, very smooth with nice gentle bright carbonation. Great taste and balance - rich dark roast malt predominates with notes of coffee, dark toffee, burnt sugar and some balancing red berry notes. Great stout.

On tap @ brewery. Mild milk coffee nose. Pitch black with solid cream head. Light body, creamy mouthfeel. Finish is more cream, liquorice, and very light fruity bitterness. It’s good but not as sweet as I expected.

On tap at Batch, pours black with a medium tan head. Aroma brings out light lactose notes and cocoa powder. Flavour brings out dark cocoa powder and lactose notes in good balance. Creamy palate, with a fairly robust flavour profile for the ABV. Nice stuff.
