Bottle at home. Aroma is dark malt, bread, raisins, caramel, liquorice, brown sugar, touch of chocolate. Flavour is sugary sweet with a little bitterness in the finish. Body is medium. A bit too heavy on the brown sugar and liquorice for my taste.

Bottle at m/s Silja Symphony. (sold as Tallink Silja Ship's Brew) Black with a medium tan head. Chocolate, dark malt and some dark fruit.

Bottled (from Alko web shop). Black colour with a mediumsized brown head. Aroma is nutty, chocolaty, some fruity hops as well as mild toasted and roasted notes. Flavour is liquorice, slight alcohol with some chocolaty quite roasted and some dried fruits to it. Quite sweet, but has a nice dry wooden thing going on to balance it up as for the flavour. Smooth and tasty.

Bottle on ferry from Helsinki to Tallinn. Dark brown, beige head. Roasted malt, dark chocolate, licorice notes, ash. Good.

330ml Bottle (Silja Serenade) - As Baltic Porter. Very dark brown with some red tinges. Raisins, marzipan and rye bread in the aroma. Malty taste with raisins, roasted malt and dark bread.

Bottle. As Baltic Porter Tallink Silja Ship's Brew. It's almost black in the glass, with a small dark beige head. Roasted malts, coffee notes, some dark chocolate and a touch of dark fruits. It's full bodied and nicely carbonated, with a good dash of chocolate in the flavor. Sweetness, caramel, roasted malts, coffee and some prunes. Lasting finish. Quite delicious. 230625
