The drought is over. Brace yourself for a Caribbean storm. This Piña Colada-inspired Gose has a deluge of aromas with pineapple, coconut and lemon front and center. Followed by a torrent of zesty citrus and aromatic herbal notes that burst across the palate. Hold fast for a thunder clap sharp salty finish. Piña Playa - Juiced up and ready to roll.

Can from BrewDog online store. Second brewery of Ohio. Pours yellowish with thin white head. Some pineapple on nose. Tastes light sourish and goes more into piña colada flavors. Okay.

Can at home, from BD online, 01/03/19. Lightly hazed golden orange with a moderate off white covering that soon dissipates to nyadda ... not a looker. Nose is pineapple cake, sugars, airy malts, lemon drizzle, trace of coconut. Taste comprises pineapple, sugars, passionfruit, grass, tangy citric peel, grains, pina colada. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a light sour edge. Ok offering ... gets the Pina Colada message across for sure but its overly sweet for my liking.

Can at Brewdog Reyjkavik. Light haze on this paleish gold beer, small white head. Palate is fairly dry, good fine carbonation. A very mild sourness. Pleasant pineapple, tastes like Del Monte tinned, not a bad thing. Pinch of sherbet. Nice touch of coconut. Whisper of candy and bubblegum on the finish. A pleasant and easy drinking little ditty.

Brilliant white tight head on a finely carbonated, almost translucent, light golden body. Fruit cocktail, Haribos, coconut & citrus aroma. Medium to thin bodied, extremely sharp on the palate with a softer airy back & clean finish. Tart tastes of citrus, sherbet, pineapple & confectionery & slightly salty finish. Bizarre!

355ml can. Golden with a light haze, small white head. Aroma of pineapple and coconuts. Taste of sweet pineapple and coconut, lactose, nice salinity and tartness. Light body, moderate carbonation. My first from BrewDog's USA brewery, it's decent.

12 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 8/15/2018. Pours slightly hazy medium golden yellow color with a 2 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big juicy/lightly tart/tangy pineapple, coconut, fruit skin, lemon, lime, orange, citrus peel/zest, peach, pear, red/green apple, melon, white wine, sea salt, herbal, floral, grass, pepper, vanilla, wheat, cracker, white bread, light lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Nice aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/light acidic yeast, pineapple, coconut, pale/wheat malts, and light-moderate earthy hop notes; with good strength. Taste of big juicy/lightly tart/tangy pineapple, coconut, fruit skin, lemon, lime, orange, citrus peel/zest, peach, pear, red/green apple, melon, white wine, sea salt, herbal, floral, grass, pepper, vanilla, wheat, cracker, white bread, light lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate herbal, floral, grassy, spicy bitterness; fruity/lactic tartness, and fruit tang on the finish. Lingering notes of tart/tangy pineapple, coconut, fruit skin, lemon, lime, orange, citrus peel/zest, peach, pear, red/green apple, melon, white wine, sea salt, herbal, floral, grass, pepper, vanilla, wheat, cracker, white bread, light lacto funk, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/light acidic yeast, pineapple, coconut, pale/wheat malts, and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; with a nice malt/bitterness and tart/tangy fruit balance; with minimal astringent flavors after the finish. Moderately crisp/clean finishing. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitterness and tart/tangy fruit. Medium-plus carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy, fairly acidic/tangy/sticky, and slightly saline balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5.2%. Overall this is a very good gose. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/light acidic yeast, pineapple, coconut, pale/wheat malts, and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; very smooth, crisp, clean, and refreshing to drink with the modestly acidic/tangy/bitter/drying finish, not overly lactic or salty. Very flavorful for the ABV. Very balanced authentic juicy fruits, Lacto, and pale/wheat malts. Just a little too bitter, and not as tart/acidic as expected. Otherwise a very enjoyable offering, and well made style example. Not overdone on any aspect. Tastes like a pina colada as advertised.
