(Bottle, bottled Feb 13 2015) Dark brown colour, almost black, with brief beige head. Malty, boozy nose with notes of dark chocolate, tamarind, oak wood, vanilla fudge, coconut, dark bread and brown sugar. Malty, sweet, boozy taste with chocolate toffee, oak wood, tamarind, vanilla, black pepper, dark bread, black coffee, brown sugar, bourbon and a mild cacao bitterness in a warming finish. Full body, sweet. Boozy and powerful, but really rich and tasty. Great beer!

Bottle. Black pour with a small brown head that soon fades away. The aroma is big with whiskey, black licorice, and a trace of vanilla. The taste mirrors the aroma with all the aforementioned plus a big dose of dark chocolate cocoa. The palate is full and oily with soft carbonation. Finishes long and bittersweet with lingering chocolates. Overall: Decent brewski, I loved it, and consider it equal to many of the bigger names in BA stouts. Paired well with some aged Landana goat milk gouda cheese. Bottled 24 Feb 2017

Black with a foamy brown head that left great lacing. Roasty and a bit woody with bread, red wine and dark fruit. Long finish. Full body

Enjoyed July 2023. Pours a pitch black colour and a light brown head that doesn't last long. Aroma's: bourbon, boozy, fruity, sweet, molasses, vanilla. Retronasal it's sweet, bourbon, vanilla, molasses. Flavour is heavy sweet, a bit boozy. Fairly strong, warming alcohol feel. Medium bodied. Long finish with some roast and light bitterness,
