Based on a classic solid Czech pilsner style but with the late hop addition of Styrian Wolf to give the beer a subtle fruity and floral character.
The beer is fermented at unusually high temperatures in a procedure known as steam brewing. This created additional fruity esters to further enhance the flavour of the beer and deliver its unique taste.

Half at the Head of Steam, Birmingham. Clear dark gold, small consistent white head. Fruity aroma with orange and lime and biscuit malts. Taste is biscuit, citrus, metal and grassy bitterness. Its a bit like half pale ale, half pilsner but not the best of both.

Keg at Head of Steam, Cardiff. Clear gold with a white head and a middling fizz. Fresh and leafy, some grass, a solid biscuitty base and a crisp finish. Very refreshing on a hot day - I'm not normally a lager fan but I enjoyed this one. Nice one!

Keg at The Head of Steam, Hull. Pours clear golden with a thin white head. Aromas of light lemon, light cooked corn. Taste is more of the same. Clean finish. Nothing wrong with it!
