A flavoursome, hoppy beer at a very ‘sessionable’ ABV. Pale golden with a great aroma and freshness from the pine and lemony characteristics of the New Zealand hops. The brewers have packed in plenty of character and layers of flavour, rare in a 3.6% beer.

Bottle from LCB, still in date by 4 months. A slight gusher - needed new trousers. The hazards of beer rating. Clear bright gold with white head, decent lacing but a point off for wet patches. Aroma has a biscuit and grain noted malt with a flora and citrus. Taste has that pale malt but has a drying bitter soapy-floral quality which I didn't find that tasty. Medium bodied, slightly cloying. Not great at all.

Cask at Black Lion, Nantwich (now at 3.4%). Pours golden yellow with minimal off-white head and good lacing. The aroma has floral hops, grains and pine. In the mouth it is juicy and quite bitter with floral hops, citrus and lemon. Hints of grapefruit and honey come through later. Bitterness lasts into the slightly sticky finish. This is decidedly reasonable – plenty of flavour for its strength.

Rocky white head on an unclear pale amber coloured body. Pine & zesty citrus aroma. Medium bodied, oft over the tongue thinning out to a sharp back. Pale malt, grain, citrus & pine tastes with a zesty finish. Quaffer.

[Cask at Cornichon, Tarvin.] A straw coloured pour with a thin white head; tropical fruit aroma; rather soapy in the mouth with a fruity bitterness; and a crisp citrus finish. Very drinkable.

Cask pint @ The Fox, Newport. Clear gold pour, small amount of white foam atop. Moderate malty nose. Lacklustre flavour profile, modest floral hop moments, firm bitterness. Watery and depressing.

500ml bottle at Anthony's of Wellington on 28th August 2021. Clear light golden body, foaming white head. Mild citrus nose and taste, decent malty base for the hops to play with. Easy drinking beer with a good depth considering the ABV.
