Handpull at the Salmon, Leicester. Light yellow gold with a little bit of haze. Aroma of pi eapple and passionfruit, unsurprisingly artificial but pleasant enough. Sweet taste, far too sweet but just what I'm in the mood for tonight. Lots of sugared tropical drink flavour. Flat, light body. Hmmmm. It's not a craft cider that's for sure, but nice enough on a warm summer evening.

Box @ Tap 'n' Barrel, Wigan. Very pale clear golden, my mate said it looks like it's been scooped out of a pond. Very sweet with a good tropical fruitiness, but you would expect this given the name. Pineapple style aroma with an initial bittered taste in this respect.

BIAB at The Hop, York. Pours clear pale golden with no head. Sickly sweet synthetic tropical vibes throughout. I'm wondering if any apples were actually involved. Light body with no carbonation. Pretty nasty all in all

Sample of a mate's drink at The Junction Tap, Woking. He got a lot of stick when everyone tried this. Sweet citrus aroma. Opaque white gold. No head. Tastes like Um Bongo. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Flat carbonation. Long sweet finish. Alcopop.

500ml bottle from BEER:Shop St Albans. Pale yellow colour, fizzy white foam head that rapidly dissipates away and aroma of juicy tropical fruits, pineapple. Taste is sweet, syrupy with tinned tropical fruit juice flavours, pineapple, peach, alittle apricot. Syrupy mouthfeel, medium bodied, slightly spritzy carbonation, sweet fruity finish. OK, very sweet.

Half-pint, on tap at Griffin. Pale yellow body, a few bubbles on the surface, no lacing. Distant apple skins on the nose, mid-sweet. Sweet fruity taste of mango and apples. Gets rather fruity sweet in the long run. Unvaried, but drinkable. (Swansea 01.10.2018).
