Not the white ipa that you could expect, this one is on the German way, smooth for the style, side of wheat, fruity, a bit spicy, you could expect more bitterness for the style, hop, syrupy, 02.04.21, at Epalinges

Tap at the Kr4ft Fesztival. Deep golden, thick white head. Nose is nice, fruity wit character, and the taste follows, with a good amount of hoppy kick. Very well balanced brew altogether it's an IPA and a Belgian at the same time and it works real well.

Bottled (as WHT IPA). Hazy yellow colour with a small white head. Aroma is citrus some malts and mild wheat to it. Flavour is very fruity and floral with some wheat and slight bready tones. Nice citrus aftertaste.

Auch wenn ich kein großer Ungarn-Fan bin, so muss ich doch zugeben, dass man bei Monyo etwas vom Brauen auch spezieller Bierstile versteht und durchaus kreativ ist. So ist dies das erste White IPA das ich sehe. Geschmacklich bekommt man einen Teil WItbier mit hefigen und getreidigen Noten und auf der anderen Seite ein nicht zu bitteres IPA, das man zu einem harmonischen Ganzen zusammengebraut hat. Vom Witbier bringen sich auch ein paar Gewürze wie Koriander, Anis und Fenchel ein, was wirklich fein ist. Ein durchweg harmonisches Bier, das mit einem wahren Aromenreigen erfreut.

Draught at Monyo Tap House, Budapest. Lightly cloudy, pale gold colored. AROMA- grapefruit, orange peel, coriander, citrusy, floral. FLAVOR- neutral, slightly bitter, quite warming, alcohol, licorice, grapefruit, citrusy. Medium bodied. Interesting one. For me tasty.

Bottle. Pours clear golden with small white head. Clear aroma of hops, with notes of yeast and touches of grass. Bitter, hoppy and grassy flavour with notes of citrus and yeast and malty touches. Bitter and mildly acidic aftertaste. Reasonable.

Bottle via Beermalade. Sweetish honeyish malt presence. Medium body. Lacking in terms of carbonation, low level. Neither the hoppy goodness, nor the soft phenolic wit character get to shine, both somehow cancel each other and create a weird impression of flowery soapy water or something. Not terrible, but not great either.
