Karaktervol donker tarwebier.

Bottle at Taste From The Lowlands. Pours a slightly hazy earthy, golden amber with a near white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has sweet grains with a touch of banana and a hint of bread underlying. Flavor has earthy grains and bread with a hint of banana coming through.

Bottle from an Albert Heijn in Lekkerkerk, The Netherlands (thanks to Anke). Pours clear amber with a diminishing, small, off-white head. The aroma contains barley, wheat, caramel, yeast, bread, some spices and a faint hint of fruits (banana). It tastes light to medium sweet and light spicy bitter. The finish is yeasty, bready and slightly dry. Medium body, slick (tad soapy) texture, fizzy to soft carbonation. Underwhelming in all aspects; just okay.
