Karaktervol donker tarwebier.

On tap @ Arendsnest. A really cloudy deep orange one this with a big dense lasting white head. Smells mild. Some yeasty banana tones here. Green apple and lots of cardboard. Not a horrible aroma, but still not completely mine thing. Tastes alright. Sweetish, lots of sugar sweetness. Lacks a bit on the balance I guess. Feels good and oily in the mouth have and it's about average on the carbonation. A ton of sweet banana here! This has to be some sort of weiz. Mild peppery tail with lots of yeast and mild cardboard pepper. 25.09.2014

Arends Nest. Keg. Very hazy amber beer, good pale cream colour head. Palate is airy and semi dry. Sweet dry malts, little dull caramel. Touch of spice. Whisper of orangey dried fruits. Airy dry finish. Passable.

Keg at Arendsnest, Amsterdam, 28/09/14. Hazed orange amber with a decent off white covering. Nose is citric peel, straw, cloves, yeasty notes, spice, bitter orange. Taste comprises grain, citric rinds, tangerine, clove. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. So so affair which doesn’t really tick the stlye boxes for me.

Bottle. Murky amber colour, white foam. Aroma of caramel and light roasted malts. Reminds me a bit of a speciale belge. Decent.
