Observers of yestercentury once doubted the existence of the Dark Swan, stating the fair-feathered fowl was the only color of its kind. Explorers eventually upended that theory, shocking the world and shining light on the Dark. This beer might just do the same. It’s a sour ale fermented with dark red wine grapes, giving it its uniquely deep and rich purple hue. Then it received the signature Lagunitas treatment with a healthy dose of experimental dry hops. This might just shock your taste buds!

Keg at the Head of Steam, Leicester. Purplish brown, very translucent with a tiny head and lots of lacing. Smells of blackcurrant squash with a light malty note. It's a gentle sour, only mildly tart, with a pervading bitterness at the finish. Lots of black cherry, blackcurrant and raspberry vinaigrette in the finish. Nice.

Flaska från SB. Smak och doft av blåbär, hallon, skogsbär, svarta vinbär, druvor, vinäger med toner av jord och blött hö. Fruktig, frisk, viss syrlighet, lagom sötma, fin beska.

Draught. Mild fruity aroma. Not very sour smelling. Very dark red colour, almost black, and seems unclear. Small stable creamy dark pink colour. The flavour is citric with a good woody and fruity note. Not sour, but nicely citric. Good berry note. Woody bitterness as well. Nice and satiating. 7 3 8 4 18

On tap at Christian Firtal Pale Ale Festival 2018. Deep, dark red with a lasting white head. Aroma of grapes, citrus and a touch of grass. Sweetish fruity flavour with grape juice in particular. Slightly tart finish.
