Single hop awesomeness, shining a spotlight on our favourite ingredient, the not so humble hop. Ace of Citra has the ultimate poker face - this session IPA is low in strength but has an ace in the hole - devastating hoppy aroma & flavour.
This session IPA has been bombarded with Citra. Mango, pine and grapefruit explode from the glass, firing off from a light, complex toasty malt base. Low voltage, high amplitude hops, in their purest form.

Tap at Brewdog, Birmingham. Poured a clear medium amber with a thin broken white head. The aroma is unsurprisingly pine needle, big grassy citrra hop. The flavour is moderate bitter with a fresh, crisp dry, refreshing, citrus fruit, hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

Bottle from Appellation Wines Comely Bank. Appearance - golden with a nice fluffy head. Nose - notes of green stalks and grapefruit. Taste - more grapefruit, still green notes again and resin. Palate - light bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Quite thin but that’s expected. Overall - a nice example of the style.

Keg at Doghouse, Glasgow. It pours clear golden - amber with a medium white head. The aroma is fresh, soft, sweet citrus, candied orange peel, peach, apricot and oily hops. The taste is crisp, clean, mellow bitterness, orange peel, orange sherbet, orange blossom, apricot and pine with a soft, dry finish. Light body and moderate carbonation. Soft, mellow and crushable. Good session gear.
