21 April 2019. At Republiek, Bruges. Shared with the lovely Anke! Pours clear pale golden with a lasting, small, frothy, off-white head; lots of lacing. Aroma of banana peel, lime juice, breadcrust, yeast, yellow apple, pineapple, wheat. Taste is light fruity sweet, ‘classic’ apple, pear & pineapple, quite bready, wheaty & slightly lime-like sour notes underneath, bitter tones of grain & grass. Dry, grassy hoppy finish, grainy & rye-like, lingering bread & sourish wheat. Light to medium body, slick texture, lively carbonation. Fresh, quenching, but somewhat forgettable.
