Donkerbruin bier met schuim. Smaak is vrij zwak met weinig diepgang, licht bitterzoet met iets van anijs, wat drop en geroosterd brood. Ik heb veel betere winterbieren gehad.

33cl bottle from the brewery. F: medium, tanned, average retention. C: dark, opaque. A: dark dried fruits, caramel, red apples peels, chocolate touch, spicy, cocoa, pear. T: full malty base, dark fruits, figs, dates, mellow red apples, cinnamon, cocoa, pears, decent bitterness, cardamom, medium carbonation, good balanced BSA, enjoyed for sure.

Bottle from a shop in the Ardennen, many thanks to Anke! Hazy black, small, beige head. Aroma of prune, blackcurrant, toast, liquorice, chocolate powder, red apple, clove, cinnamon, molasses. Taste has sweetish prune, red apple & pear with an undertone of sourish brambleberry, light toasty-nutty malty body, vague fudge too. Earthy hoppy finish, chocolate & sweet dark fruits returning, herbal liquorice note & warming brandy alcohol. Medium body, slick texture, fizzy carbonation. Not too much of everything, rightly balanced & enjoyable.
