Poured a nice gold with white head via bomber. Nose is strong gin/junipers. Some citrus, hops and then a ginnish finish. Pretty good.

From tap at Borefts 2019. Aroma is strong gin with juniper, fruity notes, a bit herbal. Moderate sweet and medium bitter. Body is medium. Certainly interesting.

Rocky white head on a dark amber still body. Herbal & gin aroma. Medium bodied, light over the tongue with a thick creamy back & clean aft. Floral, bitter citrus, pith, vinous & herbal tastes with a huge boozy gin hit on the back.

500ml bottle. Hazy, orangey golden colour with average, frothy, moderately lasting and lacing, white head. Caramel malty, citrusy hoppy and herbal aroma, notes of lemon and lime, botanicals from the Gin BA, nettle, a touch of woodruff, lemon balm. Taste is sweet-ish, minimally sugary, caramel malty, citrusy hoppy and dry, tart-ish, herbal and woody, notes of lemon balm, nettle, a touch of lemon tea, lemon, lemon peel, lime, green wood. Oily-watery texture, smooth and soft palate, fine, prickly carbonation. Indeed: the botanicals from the gin meld perfectly with citrusy hops. Very nice composition.

At Borefts 2019. Aroma of gin, tart, nettle and citrus. Flavor of dry gin herbs, tart, wheat and citrus. Not bad for a gin beer.

I still don't get the thing behind barrel ageing IPA's, but if you have to do it I guess gin would be a good barrel. Problem is, I don't like gin. Really herbal, lots of gin going on, some wood, juniper. Not bad, but not for me.
