330ml bottle. Cloudy, auburn colour with average, frothy, slowly osteoporosing, moderately lacing, off-white to beige head. Minimally nutty, caramel malty and yeasty fruity aroma, hints of dried fruit, red berries, raisin, sultana, a touch o fred apple. Taste is sweet-ish, slightly nutty, caramel malty, mildly bitter, earthy grassy hoppy and yeasty fruity, notes of dried fruit, raisin, dark berries, a touch of red apple and alcohol soaked yellow stone fruit; lingering, sweet-ish fruity and nutty, minimally alcoholic finish.
Dissolved sugar enriched, watery texture, smooth and soft, minimally cloying, simultaneously minimally dry palate, medium, prickly carbonation.
Sweet but still balanced, fairly multifacetted - pretty decent.

Servida en cáliz, color marrón rojizo oscuro, casi opaca, espuma beige de corta retención. Aroma a malta tostada, galleta, ciruelas pasas, caramelo... En boca es bastante frutal, moderadamente dulce y ligeramente amarga, con matices achocolatados y tostados, y una muy simpáticas e interesantes notas de frutos rojos (cerezas, particularmente) que aportan una finísimo rayo de acidez de fondo que le dan un punto extra de bebestibilidad. Interesante cerveza, no está mal.

Bottle from Drinks Vanuxeem, Ploegsteert, Belgium. Pours a dark mahogany colour with a medium sized creamy off-white head. Aromas of dry dark fruits, plums, caramel, brown bread with hints of gingerbread. Taste is slightly acidic with more of the dark fruity notes, caramel and brown bread with added hints of apples. Beautifully soft but sprightly carbonation creating a very nice mouthfeel with a sticky tangy finish. Quite unique and overall a lovely beer.

Bottle from Dranken Vandewoude and drunk at home. Clear deep dark Ruby colour lasting beige head. Malty aroma. Dark fruits. It's really good. Brown malty strong Belgian that is complex yet effortless. Lovely soft carbonation. Yep pretty decent. Brown malty slightly sweet beer.

Cette Vleteren Alt est plutôt intéressante, tant par sa complexité, honorable, que par sa structure avec une fraîche amertume tout en conservant un alcool donnant le tempérament nécessaire à une bière belge. Le visuel est sur une robe brune opaque avec une très fine effervescence et une mousse beige et crémeuse très dense de 2,5 cm. Le nez, sur une amertume bien présente est sur le pain noir, le chocolat et une pointe de cassis. En bouche c'est appréciable avec une texture fine mais un bon caractère conféré par l'alcool à 8 % et une amertume bien développée donnant de la fraîcheur. L'attaque laisse percevoir des arômes de chocolat, de pain noir avec un peu de prune, de candy et de caramel. La deuxième bouche est dans la continuité, un peu plus épicée mais toujours avec cette fraîche amertume. L'arrière bouche présente un alcool un peu plus tempétueux donnant du caractère. La complexité est plutôt bonne. Le final perd également en amertume ce qui permet à l'alcool d'être encore plus mis en valeur pour un bon tempérament. Bien fait.

Red-amber pour, aromas of red berries, white bread, some sugar/gingerbread; taste of red and dark fruits with some ginggerbread. Nice.

Robijnrood bier met schuim. Smaak is bitter en licht zoet met iets van abrikoos, bessen en banaan. Tevens iets van appelstroop kunnen ontdekken. Gewoon een goed en lekker bier.
