A dark brown beer with a almost medium and beige head. Aroma of dark fruits, raisins, dates and some red berries. Taste is also dark fruity, raisins, not too sweet, some spices and yeast. Medium bodied, quite fresh and nice to drink. Good beer, there are nothing very special, but that’s fine, mainly nice dark fruits.

is this the same as ’vleteren’ cause i cant find that one. maybe the label changed? anyway, if not, i’m sorry for posting this wrong; this is for vleteren, by deca ( woesten- veleteren) wich i drank from a 33 cl bottle, brought to me by a friend. i’ve heard it was the ’ white label’ of pannepot. the smell certainly is not. wich i like, cause the smell is the onley ’ bad ’ thing of a pannepot in my opinion. the taste is more like it. i understand they make a conection but this is way more easy, commercialized, less tasqte and specialty,... but definatly very good ! i’m gonna buy myself some of these :)

(Bottle, Monk’s Café Wallingatan, Stockholm. "Vleteren Dark Old Strong Ale") Reddish brown colour with creamy, beige head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of caramel, dark fruit, brown sugar and roasted malt. Malty, fruity taste with caramel, chocolate, dried fruit, raisins, brown sugar and a well rounded, bitter-sweet finish. Almost full body, smooth and rounded mouthfeel, with a certain sweetness. Well balanced and quite nice.

26th September 2010.
Hazy amber brown beer with a small cream head. Light, crisp and semi dry palate. Creamy dry malt and a little caramel. A little orange and whispers of banana and marmite. A few minerals before a dry finish. Not bad.
