Dark Strong Ale. Bright red dark beer with a spicy aroma of cookies, gingerbread and caramel. Also fruity; ripe apples, red fruit, dried fruit, and a little acidity. High fermentation with secondary fermentation in the bottle, unfiltered, not pasteurized.

(25cl bottle, courtesy of DerDoppelbock) Hazy, dark amber coloured, effervescent hue with a fluffy, light-beige foamy head. Slightly yeasty, moderately sweet toast-malty nose with anise and not too aromatic spicy phenols. Sweet toast-malty taste with strong spicy notes and a faint fruity touch; medium bodied, lively carbonated mf; sweet, overly spicy and alcoholic finish. Lacks balance.

Deep brown body with an off-white head. Excellent lace. Nicely balanced aroma of malts, spices - a good complexity. Moderately sweet, lightly bitter flavour which is also very nicely balanced.

Bottled (Red cap). Very murky dark brown colour, with big beigeish brown foamy head. Aroma of malts, fruits and some alcohol. Also a bit plum. Flavour is enormously plummy with some other fruits and alcohol. A bit roasted/smoked notes also. Wellbalanced, and quite easy to drink. Some yeast coming in also, as it gets a bit warmer. A very good beer, both for "easydrinking" as well as for an evening you just want to have one or two and chat away.

Bottled 25cl, different label than in RB (BB 06/2005)
Hazy nut brown, medium tanned head. Lively carbonation. Aroma of coffee and plums. Medium-bodied. Flavor is roasted, hoppy, malty with dark chocolate. This one has strong late bitterness and warming alcohol.

An unclear brown beer with a huge light brown head. The aroma contains notes of coriander, oranges, yeast, wet cloth, and is a little sour. The flavor though is sweet with notes of yeast and coriander and a dry hoppy end.

Bright brown body. Little head. A lot of chocolate chip cookie dough but also with brandyish fruity character. Thin, like malt extract homebrew.
