Renegade Series. Festive IBA is an Irish Black Ale blending the bitter notes of roasted barley with the robust fruity hoppiness of American Summit hops. This beer was originally brewed for the Dingle food festival and we thought the name should be as festive as that day was.

Bottle from Redmonds. Murky brown with a thin head. Aroma of berry malt. Flavor is molasses malt, chocolate, berries, dry bitter chocolate finish, very dry finish.

Huge, dense cream to greige head over ochre-rimmed dark brown beer. Bit of plastic, solvent, dark malts. More plastic, but blending way better with the dark, meloidin-rich malts. Some hops rounding off with a mild bitterness. Medium bodied, quite slick, slowly dwindling flavours. Decent, if nothing more.
