Bottle thanks to Jose. Pours a copper gold with no head. The aroma is strong oak, apple skin, spice, floral. Slick body, similar flavors to nose, light acidity, held up very well.

Corked bottle, batch 2, 2014 vintage. Thanks to Matt for the share. Quite a treat this one is, and an unexpected one. Reddish orange pour. Very tart strawberry nose. Flavor is equally tart, and the sourness lingers. Apricot front, mixed berry, some peach, and a balancing funk. A pleasant, smooth sour here, that has clearly aged well. A most excellent sour here. Well put together. Lovely blending here. Extremely impressed with this. Time to go searching for the other batches. Gotta break a tie here, I guess this beer is more beautiful than I originally thought.

Tap at the barrel House. Pours clear golden orange, large fluffy white head, good lacing. Aroma is oaky, stone fruit, Brett, vinous. Flavor is light tart, light funk, lots of tannin, white wine, buttery peach skin. Light plus body, super refined. Hell yes.

Slight haze, dull tan. Not much head. Aroma is fruity, earthy, has a nice kiss of malt sweetness. Bracing acidity...really assertive. Clean, but not much nuance. This would be best suited as a base beer, either with a whack of simcoe (hll melon) or with some fruit to lend a little sweetness.

Initially good head, leaving even shards of lace; clear copper coloured beer. Best imitation of a gueuze ever, horseblanket, spicy-fruity nose, dry. Harsh, tart dry taste, puckering acidity, dry-out effect. Wild aromas, wild yeast, esters, wheat. Given blind, I’d sworn gueuze.
