Tap at the brewery with view of the mountains. Cloudy amber-brown, creamy golden brown head. Restrained aroma. Juicy malt, cake roasted, dry sweetness, well balanced with grassy and flowery hops. Pleasant, moreish.
On tap at the brewpub. A slightly hazy orange brown beer with a beige head. Aroma of caramelized malt, mild sweet nutty malt. Taste of fresh caramelized dark malt, nuts, moderate spicy bitterness.

(draught at the Braustüberl) Hazy, dark amber to chestnut-brown colour with a firm and slightly tanned foamy head. Toasty malty, slightly bready and delicately nutty aroma with notes of caramel, shades of sugar beet and a delicately yeasty spicy touch. Moderately sweet and shy bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Toasty malt character with bready notes, caramel and a tinge of syrup/molasses; sweet and slightly bitter finish with toasted malt and caramel, restrained hoppy notes. Weaker than the Andechser Winterbier, which I had a couple of hours before. 27.II.16

Draught Hazed, pale cola-coloured beer, small tan head. Meaty esters, chestnutflour. Chestnutflour in the mouth again, sweet-ish, leafy and yeasty, with lots of melanoidins, but a quite dry finish. Medium bodied, quite slick; long, again sweetish aftertaste. Clean, very well-crafted Dunkles despite the yeastesters.

Draught: Hazy, reddish-amber coloured with a stable and lacy off-white head; caramel, metal, fruits and yeast in the nose; light bitter-sweet flavour, pretty light bodied for a beer of 5.5%; slightly lingering caramelly-bitter finish, accompanied by a light fruitiness. A typical Tegernseer product of modest quality.....
